Holiday Park Railway

Holiday Park Railway

The holiday park railway Crispendorf is a real peace of history! Built in 1954, it used to be a part of the then Pioneer Camp “Karl Marx” of the mining company Wismut. Currently., it’s maintained by the “Ferienlandeisenbahn Crispendorf e.V.”—A local club dedicated to the cultural preservation!

The 2.1 km long track leads through the Wisentatal and connects three Stations: Hauptbahnhof (Main Station), Festwiese (Festival Ground) and Stollen (Mineshaft). And all that with a track width of 600 mm! The course takes 20 minutes to complete at its comfortable travel speed at 10 km/h. At the front of the train, you’ll find either Crispi or Maja, the electrical mine locomotives of the park. This guarantees a rather noise-free ride!

The railway will be operated on Saturday between 12 and 18 o’clock. Tickets need to be bought in cash at the designated places from the local club.
