Tom Hengst (aka. Single Purpose)

Tom Hengst

Resident DJ of Canterlot’s High Society Club and a true master of Tech House and Drum & Bass, Tom Hengst, also known as Single Purpose, has been creating music for over 15 years.

Though he only started creating pony music in 2018, there is a good chance you’ve heard his works before, as his original and remixed songs are often featured on Cider Party and Ponies@Dawn!

Most recently, in P@D’s album Survivors, his unique grasp on his signature styles could be heard in Show Me Your Hooves and We Were Never Meant To Be. Other notable works of his include a remix of Spikey Wikey’s Shining Free VIP and Lotus featuring Kyradeen.

The dividing line between the two names is the difference in style, as he focuses primarily on Drum & Bass as Single Purpose, while for his performance at Everfree Encore 2025, Tom Hengst has specialised in Tech House!

Until we get to the party he’s bringing to the stage to raise the roof, be sure to listen to all his music on YouTube, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and Spotify, and follow him on Twitter for updates!
